Spring Time :)

Whew, it's been a while! I have been so busy with school and then my mom came to visit. We had a FABULOUS time! We did A LOT of shopping and went to Graceland!! We even did some sewing :) She mainly sewed....I watched. She made Brandon and I a new comforter for our bed that is to die for! Brandon LOVES it. It is way more comfortable than our last one...plus it hides Bama's hair way better! I still need to make some new brown pillow cases to go with it but I haven't gotten around to that yet.

Since its been around 80 degrees here all week Brandon, Loren, and I have been fishing like crazy. We have gone everyday to Miss Carol Jane's pond. She lives in Hartselle and lets us fish for Largemouth Bass whenever we want. I'm thinkin' about turning pro :) Needless to say, Brandon and I are addicted to fishing. I think we are going to start fishing in the lakes/rivers so we can catch some real big boys.
Not too bad, right?! My dad is putting together a rod & reel and sending it my way!! I can't wait! The one I am using now isn't all that great. Plus, its SUPER hard for me to cast. I can't even count the number of trees I have been hung up in. :) I just hope this weather keeps up. I'm getting a great tan and Bass fishing is a blast!

Bama Bear

Bama has hit the big screen! :) Well, he has made it to youtube.com at least. Brandon took a video of him "singing" while I was playing the recorder. He is pretty adorable, if I must say so myself!

Here is the link so yall can check it out!

AND...Bama has learned to go down the slides at the park. it's classic. He has all but the tunnel slide conquered which is HUGE!

drum roll, please.....

FINALLY, they are complete! :) Well, pretty much. The rod needs another coat of white paint...but I ran out. AND I couldn't resist hanging them back up! I love them and Brando is quite happy with them too :) Here are some pics...

Aren't they FABULOUS?!? I will never make another pair of cutains again! But, these were worth traveling to every lumber/craft store in Huntsville and Decatur. I'm just glad they are done!!

Rascal Flatts & Darius Rucker :)

Last night Brandon, Erik, Shannon and I went to see Rascal Flatts in concert. It was a great concert and Darius Rucker opened for them. We got our tickets yesterday and were pretty high up but still could see the stage really well. I LOVE Rascal Flatts and here are some pics :)

Brando wanted to have a picture with his new family, haha!

P.S- My curtains are hung up BUT I need to paint the bar....I'll post some pics after that :)

my latest craft

I had been seeing rosette necklaces all over online but wasn't willing to pay $40.00+ for one. So, I decided to make one. I gave it my best shot and this is the final outcome!
The next project and I am hoping to conquer in the near future is some fabulous cutains for my living room :)

Kindergarten madness

It has been a while since my last post...but I have been VERY busy! I started working with Mrs. Lightford at Julian Harris Elementary this week. She teaches 22 Kindergartners and I don't know how she does it! I have been going to sleep between 7-8:00 every night this week. I have been SO tired!
The kids have been great, though. My favorite little boys name is Angel. He is Hispanic and the SWEETEST thing ever. A little chub :) Yes ma'am and thank you might be the only words in his vocabulary. Then there is Natia, whom I also adore! BUT decided to drop the F-BOMB to me the other day. That one took the breathe right out of me.

I really like Kindergarten ALOT...which I didn't think I was going to. I love all the crafts and coloring :) Imagine that, right?! Mrs. L has just been an absolute joy to work with. She is incredible with the kids. She has been teaching Kindergarten for 11 years (since she graduated) in this same classroom. Julian Harris is my favorite school I have been to thus far. The students are wonderful and diverse (Barkley Bridge didn't have the diversity) and the teachers are SO sweet!
